Thoughts from the Breitbach Class of 2021
img 4375.jpg

The Breitbach senior class would like to sincerely thank each person who has taken the time to view the stories of our peers. Our class would also like to express our gratitude to those who participated in sharing their personal anecdotes; we recognize that each and every Duhawk possesses a unique and beautiful journey and this page is an accumulation of those experiences. Through this project, we hope that you have not only learned about the diverse perspectives of your classmates, friends, and teammates here at Loras; but that you have truly begun to embody the titles and dispositions of active learners and critical thinkers. In such turbulent times, it has never been so important to examine who we are and what we believe, and it is our hope that these stories have created a meaningful conversation about the reality of race here at
Loras College.

One thing that I have taken away from this project is the real meaning of community, and the beauty of diversity. Actively listening to people's stories has truly opened my eyes to how we must cultivate a community that upholds the dignity of all people.

I enjoyed working on this project as it highlights the viewpoints that these individuals have to share. It affirms the value of learning by sharing perspectives.

I am very thankful of the Duhawks who have agreed to participate in the project and share their perspectives, stories, and experiences. Learning from them has been a gift that I greatly appreciate.
